Throughout her career, she has worked closely with the drivers and members of Teamsters Local 350, building lasting friendships and earning deep respect. Now reclassified by Republic Services as a Logistics Analyst, Sandra ensures her crew is equipped to operate efficiently on their route, something she takes immense pride in. For years, the drivers at Allied Waste Services of Daly City, encouraged Sandra to join the union. On November 27, 2024, after decades of dedication, she voted to organize with Local 350 through an Armour-Globe election under the legacy drivers contract. On May 2, 2025, she proudly ratified her first-ever union agreement. “After working in the industry for over 25 years, I was finally able to vote YES to be a part of Local 350 at Republic Services in Daly City,” said Sister Garcia. “Now I will have a fair increase in wages, outstanding health insurance, and the solidarity of my brothers and sisters. This will help my children and me tremendously. Most of all, I am so grateful for the support from the drivers who guided and encouraged me.
